The Ajyal Center provides an educational school program supported with clinical therapeutic services. We also offer an early intervention program called Bista, for ages 18 months to 4 years. The Ajyal Center also has a vocational program and an adult program for adults over the age of 18.
Our Bista program accepts students from 18 months to 4 years. Our educational program accepts students from 3 years to 18 years, and our adult program begins at the age of 18.
The Ajyal Center serves individuals of all ages diagnosed with disabilities that significantly impact their ability to succeed in academic, professional, or community settings. We serve individuals from 18 months and above, integrating early intervention, academic instruction, therapeutic support, and vocational training into each school day. At ACCEL, we follow best practices in differentiated instruction to meet the individual needs of each student. The first step involves a thorough review of the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), followed by additional assessments upon entry to determine which curricular resources will best serve the student. If a student does not have an IEP at the time of enrollment, an assessment period will be conducted to establish one. ACCEL provides individualized instructional programs designed to meet the academic, behavioral and social/emotional needs of each student, and promote skill development that will enhance dignity and foster independence. There is extensive use of therapeutic modifications, augmentative communication, and adaptive equipment, including but not limited to: switches, communication devices, visual supports, PECS, Adapted language arts, mathematics science and social skills activities. Classrooms follow monthly curriculum themes within which literacy, math and science projects are designed to develop functional life skills.
We determine which curricular resources are most appropriate based on assessment data and IEP goals for each individual student. The following are the curriculum resources we may use for students.
Our school program offers a diverse range of evidence-based instructional approaches and individualized strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. This includes the MOE Curriculum, English Core Curriculum, and MOE Special Education Curriculum, along with many other specialized curriculum. If you wish to learn more about our specific curriculum and programs, please feel free to contact us directly.
The Ajyal Center is proud to offer an Inclusion Program, designed to provide our students with disabilities with opportunities for meaningful participation in academic, social, and vocational activities. This program facilitates:
- Seamless transitions between classrooms
- Social inclusion activities with peer schools
Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, promote socialization, and enhance our students’ overall educational and therapeutic experience.
While all enrolled students at the Ajyal Center have been diagnosed with disabilities, our team is dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities both on-campus and through partnerships with other schools and institutions. For students enrolled in our Inclusion Program, we provide supplementary classes that align with the curriculum of our partner schools, ensuring they receive targeted support to bridge any gaps and foster academic progress.

Upon applying, all students undergo a screening process to determine their fit for our program. The Enrollment Supervisor may:
- Conduct a phone or Zoom interview with you
- Schedule an in-person meeting with our screening team
- Ask questions about your child’s needs and background
This screening process ensures we can provide the best possible support for your child.
Once enrolled, each student receives a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the therapeutic and educational teams at the Ajyal Center. This assessment informs the creation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), outlining specific goals and objectives for your child. Please note that this process may take up to one trimester.
There is no cost for the initial screening. However, comprehensive evaluations are only provided to enrolled students.
